Update 05/03/2014

Tantallon Victoria

The Tally Football Department creaked into action this week with a home game v Kelvinbridge where a win would see them move into second place in the league. Prior to kick off though there was panic within the Dept. as it turned out Tally Vic Cult Hero "The Tank" would have to be assigned a squad number (number 12 for the statto's out there) as it was the only shirt they could get to fit his "robust' frame

With the issue resolved (no lubricant needed to get the top on i'm assured), It was time for kick off, with good luck tweets flying in from all over the twittersphere. It was the Tally Vic that drew first blood when that man #McQuadeforAlbion slotted home a first half pelanty with his typical aplomb but by half time it was clear that Kelvinbridge would be no pushovers, scoring twice to rip up Jan Lewicki's half time team talk. Despite his advancing years Lewicki fair knows how to get the best out of the boys and the Tally came roaring back in the second half, with #McQuadeforAlbion netting yet another Hat-Trick to fire the Tantallon boys into second place, four points behind the top spot with a game in hand

The Tally Vic and Corinthians AFC are playing a charity match on the 9th of March for #AmmysVsCancer to raise money for the fight against cancer, they are also holding a chairty auction

Tipton Town

There was no match for the Tipton Town First Team this week but that didn't stop the awards coming in as they were awarded the Midland Football Alliance Team of the Month Award for January & February, a fitting accolade for their unbeaten run

The Under 18's however went within touching distance of winning the Floodlight League with a fine 4-0 Win over Dudley Town, Anton Rickards opening the scoring almost straight from kick off before Mitch Tomlinson doubled their lead with a header after only 15 minutes to put them 2-0 up at the break. The youngsters didn't take their feet off the pedal though in the second half and goals from Katie's secret (and never mentioned) love child Kieran Price and Josh Marsh secured the win and almost certainley the title. Well Done the Young Team!!

Castlecroft Rangers

Castlecroft's fine form continued with a 5-2 win over Rossi Rossi B, a win that moved the Crofters up to 6th in the League. Goals from Club Captain Jay Hill, Nick Merrick, Blake Ansell and a double from the Escape Trips Man of the Match Blake Hallard securing the points, a great way to build up for what is undoubtably the biggest match in the Clubs history next week and led the Crofters chairmon to set manager Max Woodhouse a target of finishing the league in 5th place

That brings us nicely to the Big Semi Final v Birmingham Medics in the Birmingham AFA Jeffs Cup, which takes place at the McKenna Web Bowl in Pattingham WV6 7BB on Saturday, if your in the area go along and get behind the Crofters, Kick Off is at 2pm.
