   St Anthony's 1 v 1 St Roch's

A late equaliser saw 10 man Saints drop two points. It was a big disappointment because the Govan side played over an hour when centre half Mansare was wrongly sent off by a poor call from the Referee that baffled both sets of players and officials.

The visitors had the first attempt on goal on 8 minutes but Turner parried 4's shot. Saints then had a spell of pressure and opened the scoring when Donaghy headed home from a Williams corner on 12 minutes.

St Rochs then came close with a free kick from 6 but Mansare reacted to clear any danger. The Ants were playing some neat football with Mulheron shooting over the bar and Miller's run on goal ended with the keeper saving his shot

The decision that cost the Ants dearly came on the half hour mark when Mansare won the ball then was tackled from behind. He stumbled but managed to keep possession, The whistle sounded with everyone in the ground expecting a free kick for the Ants but a red card was produced which was later explained as an improper use of an elbow which still didn't make any sense as the St Roch's player was on the ground when the tackle was made.

Half Time - Saint Anthony's 1 V 0 Saint Roch's

After the break the early chances fell to the Ants but a Harvey cross was just too high for Miller then McMillan watched as his first time shot hit the post. The visitors found it difficult to breech the Ants defence with a long range effort from 5 being their only direct strike at goal. Harvey then set up by McMillan but as the goal opened up he shot wide. A Trialist then had a shot blocked by the St Roch's 'keeper. Saint Roch's had to throw more men forward and began to create a couple of chances but 2 and 14 were wide of the target. With 4 minutes remaining a long punt from the Keeper deceived Mulligan. 9 raced through on goal, played a side pass to 14 to score past Turner from 8 yards. The same player almost added a second but Turner saved well. The Ants almost got the winner deep into injury time but with the goal gaping Donaghy was only a whisker away from contact which saw the ball go out for a goal kick.
