 Saint Anthony's 1v 0 Larkhall Thistle

A Thomas Miller goal 4 minutes into injury time earned Saints a precious point, it would have been an injustice if the Govan team had not taken something because they dominated most of the match.

Thistle attacked from kick off and saw a free kick by 11 sail over the crossbar, the same player had a case for a penalty when he looked to have been brought down but in fairness to the referee he was only yards away and waved play on. The Ants were unfortunate in the 15th minute when Williams raced past a static Thistle defence to lob over the keeper and into the empty net but the referee had judged him to be in an offside position. A minute later the same incident occurred in an identical position but this time his lob hit the side netting, no offside. Miller then headed over as The Ants began to pile on the pressure. Thistle could only offer a counter attack but it paid off in the 33rd minute when a Thistle player broke down the right and his inch perfect cross was met by Watret who produced a stunning volley from 10 yards past the helpless Turner. Miller had the ball in the net with a ferocious left foot shot but the whistle had sounded for an infringement, Minutes before time Miller then watched his free kick sail inches wide of the target.

It was a similar tale in the second half with Mansare, Mulheron and Donaghy all having shots blocked, The visitors were still a threat on the break and a neat move from defence ended with 11 shooting over from twelve yards. Watret had a header easily saved by Turner and that was the last action Turner saw as The Ants bombarded the Thistle goal, Lady luck was certainly in their favour as a net-bound header from Ford struck Mulheron on the side of his head and out for a goal kick. The keeper then produced saves from Williams and Findlay but kept his best for Mulligan who had raced fully 50 yards to set up a neat one two but the Keepers fingers touched his well placed shot wide. Credit to the Ants as they refused to accept defeat and when a pin point cross from Mark McCuish was sent to the back post up popped Miller to outjump the keeper and level the scoring
