  St Anthony's 2 v 2 Cumbernauld

10 Man Saints held out to secure a deserved share of the points after seeing a two goal lead wiped out by some terrific play and possession by a rejuvenated United team who certainly looked dead and buried at half time.

The visitors almost got the perfect start in the opening minute but Turner tipped Irons looping header over the bar. Saints began to play some great passing moves and deservedly took the lead when a McCuish free kick was only partially cleared and Mulheron pounced on it to shoot home from 8 yards. Donald then missed a great opportunity but shot over from 10 yards. It came as no surprise when Saints added a second on the half hour mark. Williams did well to regain possession on the right and sent over a cross as the keeper advanced he was outjumped by McMillan to head into the empty net. Right on the whistle Turner did well to touch a Scott effort to safety.

Half Time - Saint Anthony's 2 v 0 Cumbernauld

United must have been given a verbal roasting during the break because they began to show why they are joint favourites to win the league, First Brown shot over then Turner denied the same player with a superb save from 8 yards. Callaghan did create a chance but Finnegan took the ball off the strikers toe just as he was about to shoot. Scott then saw a shot fly over the cross bar then the Ants broke upfield with McCuish's shot deflected for a corner. With 20 minutes remaining the visitors got a deserved goal when Pacitti did well to slam home past the helpless Turner. Apart form a Mulheron header United were dominant now and when Donald was sent off for a second yellow card must have fancied their chances. A minute later the 78th to be precise they drew level when Scott unleashed a 25 yard thunderbolt that soared past Turner into the top left hand corner of the net. Turner then produced heroics to deny Finnegan then Brown and last gasp tackles by McDonald and Williams in the fourth and fifth minutes of added on time gave the Ants a share of the spoils which overall they thoroughly deserved
